The LSVA (performance-related heavy vehicle fee) is Switzerland's charge for goods vehicles and trailers over 3.5 t permissible total weight. It depends on kilometres driven in the customs territory, total weight and emission category.
Scope: Swiss and foreign vehicles; all kilometres driven in Switzerland count, not just motorways.
Vans up to 3.5 t: do not pay the LSVA but need a motorway vignette for national roads.
