Logist Calculator is an online cost calculator for road freight in Europe. For each trip it calculates distance, driving time, fuel, AdBlue, tolls per country, driver and vehicle costs, and shows the cost per kilometre — and, once you enter a freight rate, your profit and margin.

For carriers with their own fleet, dispatchers and freight forwarders who need to know, before accepting a load, whether the offered rate covers all the costs of the trip.

Three vehicle types: van (3.5 t), rigid truck (7.5 t) and articulated truck (40 t), each with emission class Euro 5 or Euro 6. The route and tolls are calculated for the vehicle you choose.

More than 30 European countries and Ukraine. Tolls are calculated in every country on the route where they apply and are shown separately per country, together with the kilometres driven there.

Fuel, AdBlue, tolls, vignettes and other time-based road charges, driver costs, vehicle depreciation and any additional costs you enter. From these, Logist Calculator derives the total trip cost and the cost per kilometre.

Tolls are calculated for your route at the moment you calculate it, based on the vehicle type (3.5 t, 7.5 t or 40 t) and emission class Euro 5/Euro 6, and shown separately for each country. The result is a planning estimate, not a toll operator's invoice.

Vignettes and other time-based road charges are shown on a separate line from distance-based tolls. For a van (3.5 t) saved in your Vehicles, you can record the vignettes it already has, so they are not charged again. The UK HGV Levy is shown in pounds sterling and is not added to the euro total.

Fuel cost = kilometres driven in each country × your consumption (l/100 km) × diesel price. You can enter your own price or use the average per country: for EU countries it comes from the European Commission's Weekly Oil Bulletin, is updated every Thursday and includes all taxes and VAT. If you reclaim VAT or pay with a fuel card, enter your own price.

Choose one of three methods: a rate per kilometre, a daily rate (plus a per diem if you pay one) or a percentage of the freight rate. For 7.5 t and 40 t trucks the calculator counts whole working days under EU rules: up to 9 hours of driving a day, breaks, daily rest and a 45-hour weekly rest after 6 driving days. Loading and unloading (5 h per point in the EU, 8 h outside it), waiting at non-EU borders (12 h per crossing) and waiting for Sunday bans are added. The result shows the number of working days and what they are made of.

Through depreciation: you set what percentage of the freight rate is set aside for the vehicle. Fixed costs such as insurance, vehicle tax or leasing are not spread automatically; you can add them as additional costs.

Cost per kilometre = total trip cost ÷ kilometres driven. This is the minimum rate per kilometre below which the trip loses money.

As soon as you enter a freight rate for the trip or a rate per kilometre. Profit = freight rate − total costs; margin = profit ÷ freight rate × 100%.

Yes, as a planning estimate: trip duration is based on Regulation (EC) No 561/2006. It helps with planning; it does not check compliance.

Yes. You can compare the fastest route with a toll-free route, with tolls, fuel and driving time side by side. A route comparison counts as two calculations.

Yes. You can add stops between the start and the destination; they are included in the route, tolls and fuel.

Minimum rate = full trip cost, including empty running to the loading point, + the profit you want to make. The cost is made up of fuel, AdBlue, tolls, vignettes, driver and vehicle costs; Logist Calculator shows it as a total and in euros per kilometre.

Add the empty kilometres to the route, or divide the total trip cost by loaded kilometres only. For example, €800 of costs over 1,000 km, of which 200 km are empty, means €1.00 per loaded kilometre, not €0.80.

Trip cost is what the trip costs the carrier; the freight rate is what the carrier is paid for it. The difference is profit or loss: a rate of €1.30/km against a cost of €1.15/km leaves €0.15/km profit.

There is no single figure: it depends on the vehicle, the tolls on the route, the diesel price, fuel consumption and driver pay. Logist Calculator works out the full cost per kilometre for your own trip and vehicle.

It depends on the truck, its emission class and age, and on load, terrain and speed — your own fuel records are the best guide. In Logist Calculator you enter your own consumption, and fuel costs are calculated from it.

German truck tolls (Lkw-Maut) depend on the vehicle's weight class. Choose the van (3.5 t) in Logist Calculator and tolls are calculated for that class; vignettes or motorway tolls in other countries are shown separately.

After 10 free calculations there are two plans with the same features: €15 per month for 150 calculations a month, or €120 per year for 2,000 calculations a year, both excluding VAT. The annual plan saves €60 (33%) compared with twelve monthly payments.

You cannot calculate new routes without a plan, but your account, saved trips and vehicles remain available.

Yes, calculations are available to registered users. Sign-up is free, with email and password or a Google account, and needs no payment details.

Check your spam folder and wait a minute or two. Right after signing up you can choose "Resend email"; if you have already left the page, register again with the same email address and the confirmation will be sent again.

Yes. In your account you can save trips, add your vehicles, enter actual costs after a trip and compare them with the calculation, per vehicle and over time.
