Brenner: A13 (Austria) and A22 (Italy)

The A13 has its own section toll, which replaces the distance-based GO toll. Rates apply from 1 January 2026 and are excluding 20% VAT. Category 4+ has a separate night rate from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Category 3 (3 axles)€38.57
Category 4+ (4+ axles), day€57.65
Category 4+ (4+ axles), night€110.34

According to WKO, the A13 and A12 also carry a 25% surcharge on the infrastructure component, which helps fund the Brenner Base Tunnel.

On the Italian A22 Brennero–Modena, the toll is km driven × a per-km rate by class (axles and first-axle height), plus VAT. Rates rose by 1.46% on 1 January 2026, after no increases from 2021 to 2025. For more on Italian tolls, see Italy truck tolls.

Mont Blanc and Fréjus tunnels

Switzerland: Gotthard and San Bernardino with the LSVA

In Switzerland, goods vehicles over 3.5 t pay the LSVA, a distance-related heavy vehicle fee. It is based on km driven in the Swiss customs territory, maximum permissible gross weight (capped at 40 t) and emission class.

The federal customs office (BAZG) guideline, dated December 2025, sets the Euro 6 rate at 2.39 Rp./tkm. Its worked example is 40 t × 100 km × 2.39 Rp. = CHF 95.60, with no VAT note. Trade press (impargo) quotes 2.82 and 3.26 Rp./tkm for older Euro classes. The official source does not confirm these separately.

Tauern and Karawanken

These routes also use a section toll instead of the GO toll. Rates apply from 1 January 2026 and exclude 20% VAT.
